iPad screen won't respond to any touches to end Switch Control

Opening my Tablet, I found the screen locked on the Switch Control with the message "Switch Control - Invalid Configuration - Triple-click the home button to stop Switch Comtrol.

I tried clicking 3 times on the Home Key and that did nothing. The screen just shows Enter Passcode with blue boxes rotating around the numbers. The screen will not respond to my passcode. Help!

iPad, iPadOS 16

It seems like your iPad is stuck in Switch Control mode and is unresponsive to your attempts to exit it. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:

1. Force Restart: Perform a force restart on your iPad. Depending on the iPad model, you can do this by quickly pressing and releasing the Volume Up button, then quickly pressing and releasing the Volume Down button, and finally holding down the Power button until the Apple logo appears. This should restart your iPad and hopefully exit Switch Control mode.

2. Connect to a Computer: If the force restart doesn't work, connect your iPad to a computer with iTunes or Finder. If your iPad appears in iTunes or Finder, you may be able to initiate a restore process, which can help reset your iPad and potentially resolve the issue. Be aware that this may erase all data on your iPad, so proceed with caution.

3. Contact Apple Support: If the above steps don't work, it's best to contact Apple Support for further assistance: Official Apple Support. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or recommend a solution tailored to your specific situation.
