How to unhide movie and TV purchases on latest Apple software?

Just spoke with Apple Support UK. The problem is known and being worked on according to the lovely lady I spoke to. If you contact them they can un-hide any purchase you would like and it'll appear in your library almost immediately.

One fix is to log into TV from an old Mac (I dusted off my old 2012 air which isn't running the latest OS) if you log in to your account via that the settings are where they always used to be .....

I just discovered an easy workaround for this problem! In account settings under the 'manage' section, select "edit nickname" and when that pop up screen appears select "cancel". When you select "cancel" it will bring you back to the account settings page but the missing sections will be visible and you will be able to select "manage" under the 'purchases and downloads' section to see all your hidden movies!

I have the exact same bug since I've updated to MacOs 14.3.1 Sonoma. The day before I updated I didn"t have it.

I am hopeful that will Apple will fix this bug ASAP especially for the new update that will be coming 14.4

I noticed this problem a week or two ago. First it was broken in one way (it wouldn't open the account window at all), then after the latest update it was broken in the way you describe, redirecting to music. So while the problem may go back to Sonoma itself (everything has gotten worse with Sonoma) it wasn't just this latest update alone.

But thank you for posting this, Apple or any sites that are supposed to cover Apple have not acknowledged this as far as I can tell and their support pages are as always out of date and wrong. Hopefully if this is a general problem they will fix it ASAP

I noticed this on the iPhone not too long ago. But today I'm just noticing it on the Mac. I'm not sure what to do. I also noticed that the account settings don't open on the TV App on Mac unless you're on any other section that doesn't have anything to do with purchases (Home, Apple TV+, MLS Season Pass, Store).

I just ran into this as well. I was trying to unhide an old tv show and there is no way to do it. If you go to account settings in the TV app on Mac, then click on hidden purchases, it opens music and you cannot access tv and movies. Glad to hear others are experiencing this and I'm not losing it.
