Macbook Air is typing backwards. Help please!

A colleagues Macbook Air is typing backwards. I tried Ctrl+Option+Command+down arrow. I also tried Left shift+Ctrl+down arrow and every other suggestion I found on Google. Additionally, I got into the system settings and tried following directions for the keyboard module but nothing is working. Colleague says she was on a Zoom call and the screen started to toggle between tabs and docs and typing backwards. She tried restarting it and couldn't get in because it was typing backwards. I was able to at least get into her computer by typing her password backwards but I'm unable to fix this issue. I'm hoping someone can help?

First thing I'd try is booting into Safe Mode: Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support. Give it a few minutes as it clears out a lot of junk. See if the keyboard works. If it does, reboot into normal mode, then check the keyboard again. If it's wonky again, then it's probably something in System Settings that's askew. In System Settings, click on Keyboard in the left pane, then look at Text Input on the right side of that window, and make sure it's showing US as the chosen language.
