I cannot figure out my Apple Mail Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server passwords. I don't know what my Apple Mail passwords are supposed to be in order for my Apple Mail to communicate with Xfinity Comcast. I cannot find any information that will help to educate me about Apple Mail passwords including how to change them / reset them.

When you initially set up your Xfinity Email account, you created and entered the incoming and outgoing passwords. Did you not write them down for future reference? During the setup process Apple's Mail contacted the Comcast site and setup the correct ports, etc. At that time did the email account work? You can open the Keychain app and those passwords should be shown there. Otherwise, you may have to visit Comcast's web site and create new passwords which you can enter into Mail. This time, record them.

First, you'll have to allow access to third-party programs in the Xfinity Email website, or you may get an error message when you try to set up your Comcast.net email.
