Transferring Video from IPhone to Ipad - Over Exposure

When transferring video from Iphone 13 to Ipad (6th Generation) using Airdrop, it immediately changes to overexposed so you can barely see it? If I send the same video using iMessage it works fine?

Is there an incompatibility with these devices or a setting I need to adjust?

Sending large video from my iPhone by either text or email I have my iPhone plugged in and I’m on WiFi but when I try to send a large video, it says “you may want to wait until your plugged in and on WiFi”. why does everything have to be so difficult???
