No Incoming Mail on Laptop/ But iPhone and Webmail fine

Hi There! I'm running Mail 16.0 on my MacBook Pro-Sonoma 14.1.2

My email provider was down for an hour - and while now back up... the incoming mail gives me a message that there are no new messages. I am receiving incoming via webmail, on my iPhone- and even on my old laptop- but nothing has updated here on my main laptop for days. Outgoing messages work fine. Ive checked the basic settings on my iphone to ensure they match my laptop.... and I can't see any anomaly.

Have you shut down Mail and relaunched it?

Have you rebooted?
