Back of apple watch

Hello,

so i purchased my Apple Watch through my phone service T-Mobile about a year ago and the back of the Apple Watch fell off and was still connected to my charging port and now once I try to put it back in place it will not turn on nor charge I have called AppleCare and they say in order to fix it it would be $349 due to there is no more warranty on it. What should I do?

it's unlikely they will really fix it, likely they will offer you a new one at a lower price, when they fall apart it's usually because the battery begin to expand ruining the inside of the device
