Apple Watch Series 7: Back sealing has come off.
Subject: The back of my Apple watch has come off (Case ID: 102372442941, Series 7 45mm). Watch is charging and working fine. The back case is coming off, but when I wear it stays in place and works.
Long story short, the apple store in Hong Kong (Causeway Bay) response was to pay approximately HKD 2700 to fix or repair it.
My Concern is:
- How come Apple has one price for any problem that customers face? And, in my case, the price is close to the new Apple watch.
- Why is there no price to address the small glue issue or minor problems?
If I buy an Apple watch today and add Apple Care, the utmost peace of mind is only 2 years. If the back or front of the watch comes off, then there is no way or service from Apple to address or fix it.
I stepped into store thinking, they would charge me HKD $ 300 to 400 and help to seal the back of the watch again. But looks like the minor service pack is not available from Apple.
And this is very disappointed.
