Mac M3 Multitasking

How does the Mac M3 handle multitasking and running multiple applications simultaneously? Have you noticed any lag or slowdowns?

I want to buy a Mac to manage my Website and other resources.

Application opening speed is slower on my iMac compared to MacBook Pro (both M1 8CPU/8GPU) Why is it that when I open an application on my iMac (say Pages), it takes 1-2s more time than my MacBook Pro? Both devices run on M1 with 8 core CPU & GPU, except the iMac 24" and MacBook Pro 13" have 256 GB and 512 GB of storage respectively. Both have plenty of storage left, so I doubt it would have anything to do with the storage. If anyone can help me find the reason for this difference in performance, it would be much appreciated. How can I optimise MacBook Pro M1 to reduce application lag When I move applications around on my desktop, there is a terrible lag; the same happens when I scroll and when I try to slide through applications on the bottom of my screen. It's killing me. A reboot fixes it for a short time. I'm running 15.3.1 Sequoia. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
