Setting up multiple users on Apple TV+

I have an Apple TV+ subscription and have installed the app on my Firestick and my parents Android TV (I believe up to six users are allowed).

It works fine on both, but the Up Next On Apple TV+ is the same on both, so it gets confusing if we are both at different stages of the same series (I’m on series three of Slow Horses, while they are still watching season one for instance).

Looking into this, it seems one solution is to set up Family Sharing, but this can only be done via Apple hardware devices, which I haven’t got.

But perhaps I’m barking up the wrong tree and there’s another way around this problem?

Windows, Windows 10

The watch progress is indeed saved per Apple ID account, so to differentiate for different users, a setup of Family Sharing could take care of that. Then each user gets their own watch progress.

A Family Sharing group needs to be set up on an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac). The ‘organizer’ must do so on their own Apple device. The subscriber and the organizer do not have to be the same person. If anyone (adult) on your Family Sharing group has e.g. an iPhone, then that person could take on the role of organizer, and then anyone in your group could have access to Apple TV+ through their own Apple ID account.

they are each on differentr divices and IPs?

That wouldn’t make any difference for watch progress. It is even intended to follow the account across devices: start on one device and continue on a different device.

Unfortunatly I don't have an Apple device.

As said previously, if anyone else in the group has, then that could make the intended setup work too.

The only supported alternative is separate subscriptions (i.e. no sharing).
