Where do I shut off "Cloud Music Library"?

I used to sync the music on my iPhone with my Mac.

Then at some stage it started doing it via the cloud.

I dont want to syc via the cloud any more, i just want to sync from my Mac.

But if i go into finder on Mac select phone (when phone is connected) and select music tab it unhelpfully tells me

"To sync music from this Mac, turn off Cloud Music Library" without any clue as to how to do that.

Ive found some old instructions from people with the same issue but they say to go into Music and select "preferences".

There is no "preferences" in Music on Sonoma 14.3.1. There is "settings" and in General on that there is a box (which is NOT ticked) to sync library. Is that it?

Other info ; I have recently unsubbed from iTunes match but that sub is still running for a few months.

iPhone is 17.3.1 and syn library is NOT selected on that.

As Ive now typed all this in I'm going to enter this question and then reboot both Mac and Phone to see if that helps.

ETA; Well, what do you know, that worked !! So I'll leave this here in case someone else has the same issue.
