how to update from Apple TV Model A1842 to A2843

I have to restart my Apple app quite a bit

Why? What happens that gets you to want to restart? Please describe the symptoms.

A1842 is Apple TV 4K (1st generation) (2017)

A2843 is Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) (2022, latest model), not Generation 4.

‘4th generation’ is often used for the last non-4K model (A1625: 2015).
