Returning to the same spatial layout

When I takeoff my headset, and then try and return to the same spatial layout everything is closed. Is there a way to maintain the same spatial layout of windows?

Control Panel with new update I know to make the control panel appear with the newest update, you have to push the long button on the side. I hate that we lost the ability to swipe up and will never use the new content on the swipe up page. Is there a way to bring back the previous way to access the control panel??
