What’s the difference between offloading an app and deleting an app on my iPhone?

offload will delete the app but keep the files and data associated with the app.

Delete will delete the app and data associated with the app.

Offloading the app means removing its data but not its code. Deleting removes both.

Assuming you obtained the app from the App Store and the app is still current, you may always re-download it should you need it again.
