How do I reset my password for Mail on my Mac?

I seem to have lost my Mac mail password. P

iMac 21.5″ 4K, macOS 10.13

You need to be in-touch with your ISP to handle that then you can change the password in the Mail app. You cannot just change it in the Mail app and expect your ISP to know what you are up to.


After you have handled the ISP portion then in Mail go to Mail - Settings - Accounts - Highlight the account on the side pane on the left - then select the Server Settings and input your new password. Going forward, get yourself a password manager such as 1Password to manage all the passwords you need in your life.
