Siri keeps randomly turning on by itself

Ipad laying alone on a table, no buttons touched, buttons work, no screen or film, no one near it. Randomly Siri circle will light up and it will start talking and say things like: I am not sure, I did not get that. I have turned volume all the way off to minimize the odd interruptions. I live alone, and it is usually quiet. No background sound, no TV commercials for Siri that might trigger it.

If I get links to rabbit-holes I will not click on them, if you think you have a brief answer or solution, please post.

I am mot the first person to ask this question, and so far, have not seen a real answer, like for an example that says, to turn siri off do this...

iPad, iPadOS 16

If Siri keeps randomly turning on by itself on your iPhone, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

1.Restart your iPhone: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix software glitches. Press and hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears, then slide to turn off your iPhone. After a few seconds, press and hold the power button again until the Apple logo appears to restart your iPhone.

2.Check for iOS updates: Make sure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check for and install any available updates.

3.Disable "Hey Siri": If you have "Hey Siri" enabled, try turning it off temporarily to see if that resolves the issue. Go to Settings > Siri & Search > Listen for "Hey Siri" and toggle it off.

4.Reset Siri settings: You can reset Siri settings to default by going to Settings > Siri & Search > Siri Voice. Tap on "Reset Siri Voice" and follow the prompts. This won't delete any data but will reset your Siri preferences.

5.Disable Siri on lock screen: If Siri keeps activating when your iPhone is locked, you can disable Siri on the lock screen. Go to Settings > Siri & Search and toggle off "Allow Siri When Locked."

6.Restore iPhone: If none of the above steps work, you can try restoring your iPhone to its factory settings using iTunes or Finder on a computer. Make sure to back up your data first, as this will erase all content and settings on your iPhone.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, you may want to contact Apple Support for further assistance or visit an Apple Store for evaluation and possible repair.
