Low resolution PDF markups from iPad

Looking for some help on how to solve low resolution markups on a PDF that were made on a PDF on iPad in the files app with the markup feature. I am using an apple pencil to make the markups and they look great on the iPad until I download the PDF from iCloud to my computer.

Markup tools not available on my 4th generation iPad Pro when working on PDF file. I no longer have markup tools when working on a PDF file….. I’ve been using these tools without issue… until today. When I call the markup tools, the markup icon indicates they are available, but the do not appear on the screen. I still have markup tools in photos and in notes — just not with pdf files my machine is iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (4th generation) and I am running the current version of iOS, iPadOS 26.1 I’ve restarting the machine … to no avail.

iPadOS 17 PDF Text Markup Broken, Not Syncing Properly Across Devices Since updating to iPadOS 17.0.2, annotating a PDF with typed text is no longer working properly. I can write with Apple Pencil and these annotations will save correctly in the PDF. These annotations also show up properly when the PDF if viewed from my MacBook Pro. The files are stored in iCloud Drive and updates to the file appear to be working correctly. When writing text on iPad, the text seems to be okay when reopening the edited PDF file: although when the same file has been synced over iCloud Drive and viewed on MacOS, it looks like this: as you can see, the typed text is cropped. I now need to open this file on my MacBook, resize the text and then make use of the file that has been "fixed" on my MacBook, because if I, for example, send the file as edited on my iPad, it will appear as the latter image. I now need to fix the PDF annotations on my MacBook, which seems like an unnecessary step to me, given the fact that PDFs annotated prior to upgrading to iPadOS 17 didn't suffer this problem. Has anyone else experienced this issue and can anyone recommend anything that can solve this issue? Thanks for your time!

Preview on iPad not saving edited PDF changes across devices After the recent OS upgrade, Preview became available on iPads and iPhone. While I can edit PDF with Preview on iPhone and save the file (by pressing "<"), then the edited version of the file is available e.g. on iPad or iMac. But when I do the same with PDF in Preview on iPad Pro, save the file, but I do not see the changes when I open the file again on iPhone, iMac or even the same iPad. I even tired not to over overwrite the file and create a new one, but the outcomes are identical. Is there any well known bug in Preview on iPad? or maybe I'm missing something?
