Charging a MacBook Air via USB-C

Can I charge a MacBook Air M2 using its USB-C port when traveling using a Anker Power Bank Battery Pack, 20,000mAh?

I could be mistaken, but I think that any USB-C power source which is standards-compliant, supports USB Power Delivery, and has "enough" wattage would do.

If you look on the Anker site (https://www.anker.com/collections/20000mah-power-bank), you can filter by device type ("for laptops") and port type. I see four USB-C models for laptops that store 20,000 mAh or more.

  • Anker Prime 20,000mAh Power Bank (200W)
  • Anker 548 Power Bank (PowerCore Reserve 192Wh)
  • Anker 737 Power Bank (PowerCore 26K for Laptop)
  • Anker Prime 27,650mAH Power Bank (250W)

One of the slides in the description of the first model says that it has a single-port max of 100W … and that it can "charge a 16" MacBook Pro to 50% in 40 Minutes." Another slide says "MacBook Air 1 Charge."

I would suggest carefully reading the description of whatever power bank you are considering. It seems that Anker sells quite a lot of them, but many are meant only for smaller devices such as smartphones.
