Listen everybodynarpund the world is not without service. What's going on and will be be prorated for this inconvenience? Please fix this as I have an important business meeting in the new t few hours! This has been going on for 10hrs now.

Att update as of 10:30est 2/22/24:
“The outages began at approximately 3:30 a.m. ET. The carrier has more than 240 million subscribers, the country's largest.
“Some of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning. We are working urgently to restore service to them. We encourage the use of Wi-Fi calling until service is restored,” AT&T said in a statement.”
My partner and I both have straight talk, which I guess uses AT&T and Verizon towers. His android phone is fine, I’m stuck in SOS mode for over a hour now. Hoping we all can get this resolved cause it stinks!
I am too!! I’m stuck in SOS mode with no service. I have a iPhone 14. W/ AT&T. Others with older iPhones with AT&T have service!! What’s going on???? My bill is paid, service is active . What’s happening????

same issue!! I’ve restarted my phone twice, did a reset, toggled airplane mode & checked cellular settings!! This is crazy!! I have a iPhone 14 w/ AT&T. Others have service in the same house. Did apple do this???
I am having the same issues since a few minutes . we have multiple lines and it just shows up on my phone . the only thing different is that I have updates on including Beta updates . I am assuming by the replies that it is a network issue .
My husband and I have ATT wireless service. Our son has an iPhone, but with different mobile service. We are stuck in SOS mode with no incoming or outgoing service; however our son still has full mobile service.
Having the same issue, woke up in the middle of the night to an SOS. Tried all the trouble shooting - not effective. If I'm being honest my phone has been giving me grief since the latest update. The most inconvenient part of this all is that WiFi calling is disabled on my phone as well... I get a 502 error message when I try to turn on and it says to call ATT... well thats pretty hard to do. This disruption is requiring me to take time off of work as I cannot receive verification codes for Microsoft via texts or phone calls.

No, it's a problem for any kind of phone, even non-iPhones. And Apple has nothing to do with it.

The problem seems to be related to establishing a connection. If the phone was connected, it may continue to be. People with phones that are connected should avoid turning them off.
My phone was working perfectly today until I did the last OS update this morning and now I can’t call anybody, nobody can call me, and I can only text other iPhone users who are in Wi-Fi mode. I have a job that requires me to be on calland deal with a very very fragile population of people. This is completely unacceptable.
My sister and her husbands phones weren’t working this morning when they woke up (they’re on the same carrier as me) NOW, 4 hours later my phone goes into SOS like theirs is. My husband called me an hour ago and said his buddies can’t get ahold of their wives and stuff and NOW I see what the cause is. When will this be resolved!? My husbands going to be worried SICK. I can’t even use Wi-Fi calling!!!!
My wife & I both have iPhone 14s; both have the same AT&T account; software version 17.2. My AT&T (4g service) is fine for wife’s phone.
Her phone is fine and mine is stuck on “SOS mode only”. I powered down & tried resetting… no help… I then ran update to 17.3.1 still no help!!!
Don’t know what to do from here! Frustrated!

The issue is not the update. It's affecting people who didn't update. It's affecting people with Android phones. It's affecting people with basic phones.
My son's phone is fine and my phone is stuck on SOS. I have a BUSINESS line. When will this be fixed??? It's sad but the quality has gone down in the last year and I am seriously thinking of leaving after 24 years of service with ATT.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one experiencing the same thing, I was struggling for hours trying to reset my phone to fix it. Does anyone know how long AT&T will take to fix their towers so we can get our service back??
