Mail unable to send or receive emails on Mac
Mail app (the one with the postage stamp icon) stopped sending or receiving several months ago. I've tried quitting and restarting. Any suggestions?

For some reason this happens with Mail. Apparently, your passwords or user ID have gotten corrupted. You can either carefully go into Mail's Preferences and reset the user data or if that doesn't work, delete the account in Mail and set up a new one. That usually works.
Where do I find "change password or user ID" or "Delete Account"? I don't see either option anywhere in Preferences. Thank you.
It is there. I suggest that you consult Mail's Help menu for more detailed step by step instructions.
Could you - or someone else - tell me exactly where to find this, please? In Help they suggest going to Mail, then Settings, but I don't see that either.
