Battery problem

yesterday I was using my MacBook it gets off automatically.. I didn't understand but when I turn it on again, it shows that battery is over... I plugged in charger and when it gets on, it shows that is is 34 percent charged.. I was shocked ....it sometimes happened before that when I had to open my MacBook it often shows that it is not charged but after that it shows it is charged ..but yesterday it gets off automatically and after plugging in charger I saw that it is 34 percent charged then I unplugged it and it gets off after again plugging in it is showing cross mark on battery logo no charging showing, when I click on it it says service recommended and now I am using it with charger plugged in and if I plugged off it gets off .what should I do now give me the answer please????
