Screen time limits are horribly broken and Apple refuses to acknowledge.

Apple’s screen time limits never work. Never have worked. I’ve followed every suggestion given for resetting things given on this forum. I literally have an alarm set on my phone to manually reset app limits daily. I absolutely love every Apple product I own but screen time and parental controls are an embarrassment for you. Please just acknowledge the ongoing bugs and tell us honestly if there is any hope of a fix.

Hello,

First I want to mention that this is a user to user community where Apple users help other Apple users. I do not believe Apple actively reviews the posts for feedback. They do have a Product Feedback page which would endure your feedback reaches the audience you intend.

It would also like to giving a try at finding a solution for you. If interested could you provide some more details? Is this on your device or a device for a child? What types of limits or restrictions are you setting up? What about them is not working (i.e. the app is not stopped at the limit, the limit is not reseting)?

I hope this helps.

I set a limit for an app using my phone and family sharing. It disappears nearly every day. Just completely gone, like it was never even there. Happens with all three of my kids. I didn’t post this without research. I have been trying to fix this for over a year. All devices have current iOS, all have been removed and added back to family sharing. My device, my husband’s device all current with updates. Have opened support tickets with Apple three times. They work with me to get the limits reset. The last person kept the ticket open for a week or so and just kept having me reset it. They seemingly don’t have any way to help other than to read the troubleshooting procedures.
