Change the background color of a photo

Hello,

Can anyone suggest the best way to change the background color in a photo? For reference, I am taking pics of items I will be posting on EBAY. I’m using an iPad Air.

Thank you,

Kendra

Hello, Kendra. On an iPad with iOS 17 you can open the image of the object, then tap it. You will see a white line wiggling around the object and see the command to copy the object from the image or to save the object as a sticker.

Now open an image of the background you want.

Go to "edit", then open the markup tools (the pencil tip icon) and click the + in the toolbar to see the command to add a sticker. use this to paste the object onto the different background.

I used this method to put the picture of this crane onto a painterly background - The original picture has been taken through a window pane with horrible reflections in the background.

instead of creating a sticker you can also use any edittor that allows you to paste something from the pasteboard into a document - a mail or a note.
