Unable to install macOS Lion on my MacBook

Hi! I recently bought a MacBook Pro from 2010, and the maximum version I can upgrade to is Snow Leopard 10.6.8

I have downloaded the installation of Lion software but when I try to install it I get an error that there was an error during installation, the file may have been corrupted during download or verification. I will add that I cannot install the software using command + r because it cannot connect to the server.

Pls help.

The maximum macOS version for the 2010 MBP is 10.13 High Sierra.

Getting and installing older versions of macOS has become problematic lately, for the last year or so, due to some

connectivity issue with Apple's servers.

The 2010 MacBook Pros came with Snow Leopard (10.6.x) installed but the maximum version of macOS that can be installed is High Sierra (10.13.x)! You should be able to install Lion (10.7.x) if you want to.

Assuming your MBP is qualified for Lion, and you already have the Lion installer, try manually resetting the date on your Mac to something on or before Oct. 4, 2012 (the date Lion was discontinued). Then try to install Lion. This has worked many times before when people got the dreaded "file may have been corrupted" error message.

if you have ANY version of MacOS installed, do not fall back into the very limited environment of Recovery. Use the full power of MacOS. Try the "Use a web browser" links in that article.

In particular, MacOS 10.11 El Capitan is a really good waypoint to attempt, because it includes modern encryption and therefore brings you into the modern internet age in the process.
