Apple Watch Ultra 2 water eject does not clear speaker

I have just bought an Apple Watch Ultra 2 specifically to use when swimming after owning an Apple Watch 8. After swimming the volume is reduced to the extent that spoken time notifications cannot be heard, even after using the water eject function.

Other Ultra 2 users have commented on Reddit about this issue. https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleWatch/comments/11g2esr/apple_watch_ultra_problems_after_swim/ Suggestions include that the water eject feature is not sufficient to clear water from the round speaker holes of the Uktra 2, whereas it does work on older models with the slot speaker grill. It was also suggested that an Apple software update might be able to change the volume and/or frequency of the tone used to eject water to make it effective for the Ultra 2.

I only managed to clear the water by blowing over the speaker holes and using the water eject feature again a couple of times before the watch volume returned to normal. Left to its own devices, other users report that it can take several hours to clear water from the speaker through evaporation.
