Cannot Add Money (top up) my Suica card

How do I top up my Suica card when it fails to top up - I tried using all 3 of my credit cards (visa, visa debit, mastercard) and all failed. I was able to credit the account with ¥2,000 when setting up using my credit card, so i don't understand why it is not working. My wife set up her account at the same time and now when she goes to top up, it works perfectly. Not sure why hers works and mine doesn't. (all cards issued in New Zealand)
