Recently, when I take a screen shot, the dim mode won't go away. I take the shot, and the dim background with the lighter box where I'm taking the image from stays in tact.
I hit escape, I try changing windows, quitting other programs etc. The only resolution right now is restarting my computer.
Hopefully someone has encountered this and can help!

See if the problem still happens in Safe mode. It can take much longer to safe boot so be patient.

Thank you for your help! I restarted my computer in safe mode, it had the same issue. then I restarted it normally, and things seem to be working well. I appreciate it!
