Voice Memos not recording location. Location=ON Voice Memos=While Using+Precise location

This is NOT a question about naming the Voice Memos but about actual location information.

I use Voice Memos to record wildlife, I upload the recordings to websites, and in the past they've always been geolocated. But now the location information is no longer in the Voice Messages.

Location = ON

Voice Memos set to While Using the App + Precise Location

Tried Settings>General>Reset>Locations privacy

did not give me back my locations

What's wrong??

iphone 11

IOS 17.3.1.

I used to have locations on Voice Memos

edit: looks like the date/time is not uploading to my other website either! (see attachment)

iPhone SE, iOS 15

Have you tried Settings > Voice Memos > Location-based Naming [Enable]

Your recording is saved with the name New Recording or the name of your location, if Location Services is turned on in Settings > Privacy & Security. To change the name, tap the recording, then tap the name and type a new one.

I have iPhone 12 Pro iOS 17.3.1

iPhone 8 iOS 16.7.5

iPhone SE (1St gen) iOS 15.8.1

I was unable to locate the geographical metadata within the voice recording by utilizing the voice memo feature on any of the iPhone listed above.

I specifically started the message saying this question is NOT about the naming.

I have always used sequential numbering and that's how it will remain.

Note the edit, I added that date/time is also not being uploaded.

I've also tested this by saving my Voice Memo to my iphone's Downloads folder, then uploading the Voice Memo simply using the iNaturalist website via my iphone (extremely difficult due to small size of screen), but still no metadata uploads via this method.

It seems Voice Memo metadata is caput.

I've also rebooted iphone, no help.
