AFAIK, Apple only sold two generations of the Apple Magic Mouse.

  • 1st gen (A1296):
    • Introduced in 2009
    • Uses 2 AA batteries
    • Bluetooth
  • 2nd gen (A1657):
    • Introduced in 2015
    • Rechargeable (Lightning port on the bottom of the mouse)
    • Bluetooth

***UPDATE*** Although I can't find a 3rd gen Magic Mouse in the US online Apple Store, it may exist after all. It appears from the article that Rudegar has provided you, this mouse replaced the Lightning port with a USB-C one.
