Wrist detection disables notifications

I have the new Apple Ultra 2, and I get no phone calls, vibrations (haptic feedback), and no notifications from any apps or iMessage.

I factory reset all the settings on my iPhone 15 Pro Max and my Apple ultra 2 and nothing changed.

After doing research, I found out that turning off wrist detection will make your watch start working properly and this fixed it. But when wrist detection is off, I’m not getting other parts of my watch to work, such as my heart rate or sleep metrics while sleeping.

I’ve seen on forums that this has happened to people for the last four years, so I’m wondering why this is still an issue with Apple products.

After receiving full notifications, and everything working properly with wrist detection off, I turned it back on and lost all notifications to my watch.

For reference, I did two tests: one away from my phone, and one near my phone with my phone locked screen off and face down and neither work.

furthermore, my wife has the apple SE and she has wrist detection on and still gets all haptic vibrations and notifications?

IM AT A LOSS!! 🤯

Does anyone know the fix for this or experiencing the same problem?
