Unable to play Music via CarPlay when connected via Cable but works perfect via Wireless CarPlay

As the title states, I am able to play music via Wireless CarPlay (both Apple & Spotify) however soon as I connect my phone to the USB port to charge I am unable to play music. It starts for 1 second then stops, press play, starts for 1 second then stops. Soon as I disconnect the USB cable I am able to resume playing via Wireless CarPlay.

All correct settings required for CarPlay (screen time, Siri etc) have been checked double checked
