I used my iPhone to play music on a B&O system via connection of a dongle. It stopped working after ios update 16.3.1. It still works with a Sennheiser headset. My old ipad, os 15.7.1, plays music on B&O via the same dongle. It seems it is a software issue.

2) You iPad/dongle works with this speaker before the update
3) Your iPhone/dongle works with another speaker after the update
4) Your iPhone/dongle does not work with this speaker after the update
Based on the fact that devices without the update work with this speaker coupled with the fact that other device still work after the update, it would appear the conflict may be between your B&O speaker and the update. Consulting with the speaker manufacturer to determine if there are any updates for that accessory or troubleshooting they can offer would be the next best step in this investigation.

If you're using this same adapter and it works without an issue with a headset you connected with it, we agree it goes to show the adapter works as intended. I didn't list 3). I only focus on the same music system.
A minor correction to 2); iPad is an old version and the os on it is 15.7.1.
Now, update a new finding; I tested another iPhone 16.3 connected to the music system via dongle and surprisingly it worked. So, the ios 16.3 is ok.
In the past, I realized that sometimes ios update inadvertently changed the setting. Guess some setting on my phone got screwed up. Any further enlightening would be much appreciate.

I'm pretty sure that it's a bug in the audio device driver.
Talked to Apple support and the support staff had no clue, as expected. I asked him to escalate it to engineering team.
