International Date Line + Move Record
Hi Everyone. I'm approaching my second full year of closing my (red ring) and don't want to lose it crossing the international date line next month. I've read several forums, but unfortunately I've seen conflicting advice.
I'm traveling from CDT (Central US)-AEDT (Sydney).
Here are my two options
Option #1
- 6:00am CDT Day 1: Wake up and immedietly work to close my Red and Green ring
- 9:00am CDT Day 1: Put my phone into manual time and set it to Sydney. My watch/Phone would immediately read 1:00amAEDT (day 2).
- 1:00amAEDT(9:00am CDT) Day 1(phone thinks day 2): Work to close my Red & Green ring again both in CDT, but also in PDT prior to boarding my international flight to Sydney.
- 9:00amAEDT Day 3: After landing, put my phone/watch back into automatic mode
Comments on Option #1. I've read several comments on both reddit and apple discussions that make me think this will work, but it least one comment said that the work I do on Day 1 will get pulled forward to day 2, and to work around this I need to do my day 1 workout while it's still day 1 in both CDT and Sydney.
Option #2
- 6:00am CDT Day 1: Wake up and immediately work to close my Red and Green ring
- 9:00am CDT Day 1: Put my phone into manual time and set it to Perth. My watch/Phone would immediately read 10:00pmAWST.
- 10:00pmAWST(9:00am CDT) Day 1(phone thinks day 1): Let Day 1 naturally end in Perth and your watch.
- 12:00amAWST (11:00am CDT) Start closing the Red & Green ring again both in CDT, but also in PDT prior to boarding my international flight to Sydney.
- 9:00amAEDT Day 3: Land in Sydney. Watch will read 6:00amAWST. After landing, put my phone/watch back into automatic mode which will change to Sydney time.
Thank you for any advice that can be offered
