Assistance Required: Resolving iTunes Authorization Conflict

I am reaching out to seek the assistance with an issue I am experiencing with iTunes on my computer. I am encountering a perplexing situation where I am unable to download tracks due to an authorization error.

Issue Description:

Upon attempting to authorize my computer to download music from iTunes, I received an error message stating that I cannot authorize more than 5 computers. This is where the confusion arises: according to my account details, there should be no computers currently authorized. However, the system seems to believe that I have reached the limit.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

  1. I have verified my Apple ID and checked the account for any indications of authorized computers without success.
  2. I have attempted to deauthorize all computers, but the option is not available, presumably due to the system's belief that there are no authorized computers.
  3. I have ensured that my iTunes and computer operating system are up to date.

Request for Assistance:

Could you please assist me in understanding the current status of my authorized devices and resolving this issue? If necessary, I am willing to provide any additional information required to address this matter.

I would greatly appreciate your prompt attention to this problem, as it is hindering my ability to enjoy my music library.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Warm regards,

Andrew

See this thread: How to Deauthorize Computers on Apple Mus… - Apple Community. You appear to have run into a bug regarding this process in the current build. I've seen some similar reports.

On your Mac you can try System Settings > Click on your Apple ID > Click on Media & Purchases > Under Account click on Manage Button. There you may see the Deauthorize All button.

Otherwise can you access a copy of iTunes, or Music on a different build of macOS? From there you should be able to reset your authorizations and start over. Alternatively reach out to Official Apple Support and ask for their help to reset your authorizations.
