How to sync audio Between MacBook Air and Phone

Audio becomes delayed with respect to a video being played. The problem appears to be that if you have a phone and a Mac book air if the phone connects first to your head phones you get a delayed audio on the laptop. Turn off bluetooth on both devices and then reenable bluetooth on the laptop first then on the phone to connect to your headphones this seems to fixe the issue.
