Macbook Pro External Display (Thunderbolt)

Hi everyone, I am considering getting an external display for my macbook pro (M1 Pro), does using a thunderbolt 4 always plugged in and charging the macbook damage the battery? (Thunderbolt 4 is both charging and displaying content)

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.0

By default, MacBook's now have 'Opitmized Battery Charging' turned on. You can check by clicking on the battery > battery settings > battery health> click the 'i' icon.

So keeping it plugged in will be fine.
