SMS texts not working after iOS update

My sms messages stopped working after updating to iOS 17.3.1. Overnight . Before the update my messages worked fine. I have tried every solution I found on here and google to fix the problem but morning has worked. I even went to my carried to have them troubleshoot but everything they did failed. They said it was either the phone or the update that caused it. I even hard reset my phone which didn't work . I need this Fixed as I can't get verification codes for my accounts without sms and I need to get in my accounts !!

Oh no really. Well no duh. I have that! It's enabled . And me and my carrier spent 5 hours trying to troubleshoot it . My account is active and there is nothing wrong on their end . It's an Apple issue . It happened right after I installed the latest update to my phone . Before the update my sms messages worked fine. I've had the same carrier and phone for over a year !
