Changing my email account

I need my email changed to my new one. We no longer have the previous carrier. What do I do.

My iPad insists on using my old email as the sign in user ID I had to change my email because the carrier was no longer providing support. I was successful on my computer but now I can't change it on my ipad which still insists on using my old email as the signin userid? Any ideas? Thanks [Edited by Moderator]

I have to change my email address which is used for apple ID My service provider is retiring my email address I’ve had over 20 years. I edited my Apple ID email, but it had me add an email. So now it shows both the new and old email. However, I can sign into my apple Id using the new added email but shouldn’t the old email be removed? This is for my iPad and iPhone.
