MacBook Air M2 will not boot into macOS after repair,

Hey I sent my M2 MBA in for repair and I got it back and now it won’t let me boot into MacOS. When I try I just get this:

I’ve tried going through recovery, wiping the disk in disk utility, downloading the install (Ventura) and installing it. It keeps booting back to what’s in the picture.

When I check the disk in disk utility it shows that 20GB is being used, so I assume that MacOS installed but for some reason my computer won’t boot into it.

Anybody have any idea on what’s happening or any solutions ?

I used Apple Configurator to restore my Mac and it worked ! It booted right into the setup screen. If anybody else has a similar issue. Download Apple Configurator onto another Mac (has to be able to run macOS 12.4 or newer), then plug your affected Mac into power and also plug it into the first Mac with a USB C cable that supports power and data (thunderbolt cables are not supported with this application). Then you boot your Mac into DFU mode, follow this guide to boot into DFU Mode Revive or restore a Mac with Apple silicon using Apple Configurator - Apple Support (KE). After that go to the taskbar and select action, then hit restore. Let Apple Configurator do its thing and if it's successful your mac will boot with the setup screen.

**NOTE** this will wipe your Mac so make sure you have a backup

I have seen that when creating an external startup drive on a different Mac than the one I was trying to start up. Going into Recovery, I thought it just reinstalled macOS. There was no need to erase the drive.

I would contact whoever did the repair. If you sent it somewhere through Apple Support, contact them.
