Unable to turn off closed captioning while watching Apple TV

I can’t turn off closed captioning when watching Apple TV. How do I get it to work?

If you’re sure that the captioning is coming from the TV box and not the TV itself, try this:

While watching content through the TV box, click down on the round part of your TV remote. A progress bar appears at the bottom of your TV screen. Click to the right side of that section. There’s a ‘bubble’ (like a quote symbol). Click on that and then you’ll be given choices, one of which is to turn off the closed captioning.

There’s likely a way to do it from within the Settings, but I’m not watching TV right now or I’d look for it in there and relay how.

If these instructions aren’t very clear (I tried my best), let us know and I’ll get on the TV and get pictures that I can post.
