Why don't some CR2032 Li Coin batteries not work in an AirTag?

Why do some CR2032 Li Coin batteries (Duracell) not work in an AirTag?

I needed to replace the battery in an AirTag because its status was being shown as Low Battery on the iPhone.

I tried three (3) different Duracell CR2032 batteries from a new unopened package of batteries, with an Expiration Date of Mar 2031.

None of the Duracell batteries would power up the AirTag.

I tried the original Panasonic Li CR2032 battery again and the AirTag powered up.

I also tried a Energizer Li CR2032 battery and the AirTag powered up correctly.

I tested the voltage level of three (3) Duracell batteries from the package and all tested at 3.3V.

This was the same voltage level seen when I tested the Energizer Li CR2032 battery.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why the Duracell Li CR2032 batteries will not power up an AirTag?

It’s the bitterant coating applied on the Duracells.
