Umm-It's been a minute since I've been to i-tunes to try and find an artist...but why does it look like you can't just search for an artist?

Hiya-

I admit that I have been going to youtube to hunt for music artists since itunes change their whole interface to being called "music".

But I just went t "Music" thinking I could just do a quick search for a musician to buy something, and WTF happened?

It's like everything that made itunes revolutionary in doing a quick impulsive purchase of songs and/or an album. I have all my music through the system, but now I have no desire to add on because I can't even just do a basic search. What do I need a subscription to just browse artists?

Am I missing something? Am I missing the "Search" button? I have no reason to buy a subscription to do basic searches for artists I may or may not be into fully purchasing.

Please tell me I'm missing a button!

It's a wee embarrassing to admit, that I literally haven't looked to itunes to buy, or even my own music i have. I always used that search bar up on left, thinking it was just for my own stuff and so tunnel visioned. Miss the days when you popped into iTunes and you were immediately in the music store, and the search bar was on top right where they always are, and if you wanted to get to your own music library it was separate on the left column.

I REALLY hate the UX/UI they shifted even further into.

It makes me have no desire to even browse music when that change happened.

Crazy how Apple keeps negating/reversing what made them great. Even when I 'upgraded' into a new MacBook Pro a year and a half ago--I couldn't believe how bad some of the "upgrades" were, to the point I've contemplated - still contemplate - being done with Macs. Sooo overpriced now and super Overrated.

Type the artist name, song title, lyric, etc. in the search box on the left. Search your library, Apple Music, or the iTunes Store (selector on the right)
