Black background in photo edit on iphone
Once I updated 17.3.1 when I go to edit a photo, the background is black making it difficult to work on editing. How can I change it back to white. I noticed this is an issue on iPads too.
iPhone 13, iOS 17

You may want to change the Settings on the iPhone to use the light Mode, not dark mode.
See this help page: Get to know Dark Mode – Apple Support (UK)
You can also add Dark mode to the Control Centre for quick access.
When I set my iPhone to use the light mode, the Photos.app is also using a light background, also in edit mode.
I prefer the dark mode, however, as iI can see my photos better on a dark background.

That's interesting. I like the dark background, myself, but I can see that others might not. I tried the "Smart Invert" in the Accessibility settings, but the background remained black. I'm guessing that it can't be changed. You might want to leave feedback about this for Apple here:
It's might be a good option for them to add....
Already in light mode but thanks
Thanks Richard. I’ll give feedback.
