Apple TV 4K not working with 7.1 setup on Netflix

I was trying to watch Dune through the Netflix App and realized that my Rear SL and SR speakers were not working. I went through painstaking troubleshooting process of my system and at this point, I know the system is configured properly. Here are key indication points:

1. If streaming through Apple TV (rather than Netflix), 7.2 works fine.

2. All the config analysis I did confirmed 7.1 is setup properly.

3. The kicker, I hooked I’ll a Fire TV stick to my system and played Dune through the Netflix app and all speakers worked just fine!

Am I the only one experiencing this? Is it a bug or is it intentional on Apple’s part? What can I do?
