Unable to connect Keyboard wirelessly to iMac with macOS Ventura

Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and reboot normally and two test if the problem persists.

NOTE 1: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following; 

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts 

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

NOTE 2: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode. This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will insure a successful boot into Safe Mode.

Be sure to unconnected the keyboard before rebooting normally.

Then have to use the cable to connect, which is instantaneous. Once i login, I remove the cable and the keyboard remains connected the whole day. Even if i switch off the mac for sometime during the day, and restart sometime later, the connection is quick.

Have checked the battery status of the keyboard, which is on an average more than 70%.

Usee mentions an Apple Magic Mouse which is good

But does not mention the exact model of the Keyboard and whether it too is an Apple Bluetooth Keyboard

FYI - using 2 different Mac Mini computers

Both are using 2 different Apple Bluetooth Keyboards on each of the 2 machines

Turned off both machines after usage and turn of the Keyboards also.

Turn on Keyboard and Mice before turning on the 2 computers

Pause maybe 4 seconds before turning on each computer

The Keyboard auto connect without any issues

PS. I keep my iPhone well away for the computers before turning them ON.

There are sometimes where Bluetooth signals that broadcast in the 2/4 gHz spectrum pick up radio signals from Other Bluetooth Devices that are close to the computer and can cause a Dropped Bluetooth connection from KB to Computer
