problems accessing home screen after update

When I try to swipe up on the bottom of the Lock Screen to open the Home Screen it just shows me all the notifications. If I clear them it still won’t open the Home Screen. I have to pick a notification, go into it and then come out of it to access the Home Screen. Anyone else having this problem / found a solution?

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

Press and quickly release Volume UP button
Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).
