Has my phone been jailbroken and how do i fix it?

I'm a new iPhone user so do forgive me if i have gone and done something stupid.

I was on safari (Was on one of those 18+ sites) when i got a pop up saying that my phone has been exposed to 27 different viruses, that my security is at risk and to continue to remove them. It lead me to an app which i downloaded out of sheer panic and went through with wiping them from my phone (the app asked to paste from safari and it showed the names of different malwares).

Since researching in a continued panic about what had happened, i'm now concerned that i have jailbroken my device by doing this and am now at risk again.

If i have, is there anyway to fix this issue? Like doing a factory reset?

The initial message was a scam designed to get you to purchase and app or give up your credentials.

The app did nothing, you can uninstall it.

You did not jailbreak your phone; you can always factory reset if you wish.

All such messages are scams presented by criminals, and are quite common on such sites. There is never a need to download an App to fix a nonexistent problem. Delete the bogus app, and verify that you have not been duped into subscribing to some useless service provided by the bogus app. Installing an App will not jailbreak your device.
