Trying to combine Contact Information and somehow deleted all iPhone messages w/photos for that Contact. Would they be saved in iCloud? Looking to see if I can retrieve / restore years of memories.

Evidently there is no way to recover because my switch for messages is turned on. ☹️ Also my iOS is below 16. I’m heart sick. Thank you for your reply.
