How to erase broken iPhone.

I have an iPhone 11 with a completely broken screen that does not turn on. I got a replacement phone, however I cannot erase my old iPhone as it is not connected to WiFi. I believe the WiFi on my old phone is turned off and I have no way of turning it back on since the screen is broken. The erasing of my old iPhone will not complete without WiFi. I would love to connect my Apple Watch to my new phone but first I have to erase my old one in Find My iPhone. How can I erase my old iPhone 11 without it being connected to WiFi?

Remotely erase your device or a family member's device

  1. In Find Devices on iCloud.com, select the device in the All Devices list on the left. If you have already selected a device, you can click All Devices to return to the list and select a new device.
  2. Click Erase This Device.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions.
