How to stop wallpaper zooming on MacBook Air

I just got a Macbook Air and the wallpaper zooms in for no reason that I can see. If I reload it, it returns to full size, but it zooms in again at some point -- maybe 10 minutes later, maybe a day later. Initially it happened when I moved the cursor to my hot corner to put the screen to sleep, so I turned off the hot corner. But the zooming still occurs unpredictably. I want the image at full size because the majority of the wallpaper is dark and I need the contrast for files I put on the desktop when I'm working. When it zooms in, lighter areas of the wallpaper take up more of the screen and make it harder for me to see things easily.

I have searched the settings and cannot find anything that might disable this useless zooming. Any ideas?

Aerial wallpaper? I've been using some of the cityscape choices provided in the wallpaper menu in Settings. Not sure what you mean.

ETA: So I googled aerial wallpaper and discovered that what I find annoying is actually a feature of these wallpapers. Thanks, Apple, for providing me with something I don't want or need. Couldn't they just make that optional? It's just totally annoying if what you want is a normal wallpaper that doesn't change randomly.
